Hello,
Pouvez-vous faire passer le mot auprès de vos clubs respectifs ?
(toutes les régions du pays, la pollution lumineuse n’a pas de frontières ?)
Data search : Light Pollution Study
To any Amateur Astronomer concerned by light pollution…
Hi,
I’m looking for SQM acquired information to work on a Light Pollution analysis in Belgium.
I’m trying to validate several global LP computation models with real, ground acquired, “BE only” data.
One objective it to provide a smaller evaluation grid tool for highly light polluted and urbanized region, like ours….
(with Sodium to LED lightning change influence, by example)
I’m searching for : mid and long term capture (min 1 month, ideally several years, on the same place),
acquired with
* either a SQM-L portable device
* or a SQM-LE/-LU device
Today, I already have some inputs :
* Around Liège, on 2015-2018
* Around Brussels, on several years/months periods
* Around Rochefort, on 2017-2018
Now, I’m trying to get other periods or location information for my data mining process.
If you can provide
* Either native SQM native file format (the best, of course)
* Or any PC format : text, Excel, etc..
Which contains all captured measures, (best : mag/arsec², temperature, date and time)
It will be great and useful…
Remark :
* no matter if some periods of elements are missing (like temp), if at min : location + all “date + mag” could be used.
* if device hardware changes during periods, please indicate it !

If files are too heavy to be send by mail, you can use WeTransfert ( < wetransfer.com/ > wetransfer.com/ ) to send me the data.
Any case (success or failure around research model), a data mining result will be published on ASCEN website( < www.ascen.be/ > www.ascen.be ).
Thanks a lot for your collaboration to this small study.
